with Timothy West as Sir Edward Elgar and Pauline Letts as Lady Elgar.

In 1934 Elgar supervised the last recording of his work from his sickbed in Worcester, by telephone line to the orchestra many miles away in London. A few days after the recording was completed, the composer was dead. This play tells the story of that last recording and looks at incidents in Elgar's earlier life.
