by Bram Stoker, adapted for radio by Eric MacDonald
David March as Dracula
There he lay looking as if youth had been half renewed, the cheeks were fuller, and the white skin seemed ruby-red underneath; the mouth was redder than ever, for on the lips were gouts of fresh blood, which trickled from the corners of the mouth and ran over the chin and neck. He lay like a filthy leech, exhausted with repletion.'
'Like all best melodrama it was absurd, but it was real... you knew what was coming, the acting was roughly lifelike and the music told you when to grip the arm of the chair.' (THE OBSERVER)

'Yesterday as a nation we showed no interest in our Colonial Service. Today, when we're in the process of writing off the District Commissioner as being as dead as a dodo, the younger generation is just beginning to ask "What did you do in the Colonial Service, Grand-pa?".'

Anthony Kirk-Greene, who has researched the story of the Colonial Service, gives a framework to the memories of some of those people who served colonial Africa, and whose voices can be heard in a new series of five programmes starting tomorrow at 10.15 pm.

Sins of the Father by BILL LYONS
' Feeling your age ' isn't easy for any of us. and Jimmy Vogel is certainly feeling his. He's managed to make the rank of Inspector, but he's separated from his wife and daughter, he's failing to score with the younger generation of policemen - and women - and Superintendent Fraser still criticises his lack of tact. Middle age is proving to be an uncomfortable time and the case he's on doesn't make life any easier.
