BERNARD LEACH , Who died recently at the age of 92, got the inspiration for his pottery in Japan over 70 years ago. So highly did Shigekichi Ogata Ken zan think of his pupil's talent that he bestowed upon Leach the title of Seventh Kenzan, thus making him the first Westerner to hold this coveted title.
In a recording drawn from the BBC Sound Archives, Bernard Leach talks about his life and work.
