Jack by DAVID MARSHALL
Narrated by Joan Bakewell
A ' cautionary tale ' for married grown-ups, in which ' suburban and undynamic Jack ' goes metaphorically over the hill, to fetch a pail of water, and spills it in various directions. The vicar's remonstrations, however, prove as efficient a restorative as the vinegar and brown paper of the nursery rhyme, and Jack and Jill are able to live happily ever after.

Narrated by Rene Cutforth

In October 1959 the Munich police found the body of a Ukrainian refugee politician outside his apartment in Munich. A strange murder: death due to inhaling prussic acid vapour. Twelve years later, the British Government expelled 105 Soviet intelligence agents from the Russian Embassy in London. The links which led back from this expulsion to the murder of the lonely Ukrainian were both fantastic and chilling.

The Labour Party
Presented by John Eidinow
The discussion of the Government's economic policy and the disagreements over devolution have once more focused attention on the ideological debate within the Labour Party. What sort of socialism should the party be aiming for and how should it achieve its ends? Where should the power be in a democratic party?
