Are You Being Served - by Your Garage?
If the Consumer Association is to be believed, one area of after-sales service which is sadly lacking is that provided by the motor industry. It is also an area in which we rely heavily on the competence and honesty of the garages. Car manufacturers keep a close watch on the dealers who hold their franchise and the Motor Agents Association, which represents about 85 per cent of garages in this country, claims to protect the customer by operating a Code of Practice with independent arbitration.
Michael Heelas , Managing Director of Volkswagen (GB) Ltd, and Michael Bradstock , Chairman of the University Motors garage chain, will be in the studio to exchange views with you on garage servicing.
