In the final episode of this glossy drama, the five stars the hotel takes such pride in are looking a bit tarnished. There have been complaints. Not enough to put the place in the Fawlty Towers league, but enough to warrant the arrival of the chain's European director to shake them up. And hotel manager Rebecca looks both shaken and stirred.
Also visiting, under guard, is an armed robber (Steven Berkoff) who's the star witness in a gangland trial. At least this adds edge to an episode that's as fluffy as the hotel's towelling robes.
