Spain v England
After a flurry of World Cup qualification fixtures,
Sven-Goran Eriksson 's men travel to Madrid for a friendly international at Real's 75,000-capacity Santiago Bernabeu stadium (kick-off 8.45).
It's a good opportunity for fringe players in the squad to make their mark before the World Cup qualifiers resume next year, while striker Michael Owen , having recently hit a rich vein of form, will feel at home playing on his club ground.
England's last match in the Bernabeu was a 4-2 victory in 1987. Their most recent encounter with Spain - Eriksson's first game in charge-ended in a 3-0 win at Villa Park in 2001, with goals from Nick Barmby , Emile Heskey and Ugo Ehiogu.
Presented by Gary Lineker , with commentary coming from John Motson and Mark Lawrenson.

Gloriously tongue-in-cheek comedy horror starring Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward. The desert town of Perfection, Nevada, is the kind of place where nothing happens. Until now. Sheep are eaten in the fields, cars fall into giant holes in the ground and people disappear, with only grisly remains left behind. There's something under the desert sand: something fast and very hungry. Review page 57.
