[Photo caption] Headline makers: Dan (Grant Masters) and Charlie (Derek Thompson) need a spin doctor in Casualty

Drama: Casualty: 8.05pm BBC1
In casualty terms, it's an ordinary day in Holby City's A&E. Among those needing treatment are a young girl who nearly chokes on an apple, a woman with a head injury, a lad who has fallen down a cliff, and so on. But this week's big storyline concerns Adam's HIV condition. A national tabloid has splashed an inflammatory story about how a Holby nurse is putting patients at risk and the hospital is crawling with journalists and photographers wanting to know more as well as hysterical patients convinced they'll catch Aids. This two-part story, which continues tomorrow at 8.10pm, highlights the ignorance and paranoia that surrounds HIV and Aids so well it could almost be used as a health education film. (JR)
