The first of two episodes from Holby City this week, with the A&E's new resuscitation section being put to the test when an animal rights protest has tragic consequences. First though, there's a whole series of patients, including a man who has obsessive-compulsive disorder as a result of worrying about his wife's battle with cancer. He's cut his arm, but is petrified of being infected by germs. If the man looks familiar it's because he's played by Ian Lavender, best known as that "stupid boy" Pike in Dad's Army; his long-suffering wife is played by Shirley Stelfox. Elsewhere, Duffy is interviewed by Max and Charlie for the post of Sister and is taken aback by the aggressive questioning of one of them. She learns the reason at the end of the episode. The story concludes tomorrow. (JR)

London's Royal Albert Hall , produced for the final time by Bob Corp-Reader . The Prince of Wales joins Royal British Legion members, while from South Africa, Her Majesty the Queen and His Excellency Chief Emeka Anyaoku, the Commonwealth Secretary General, send their messages. The Rt Rev Michael Mann conducts the service, and the Festival ends with a minute's silence as thousands of poppy petals fall in memory of those who lost their lives in combat.
