999 - Speed Kills 9.30pm BBC 1
According to figures from the Department of Transport, speeding causes twice as many road deaths as drink driving. Yet speeding remains far more socially acceptable; so much so that the DoT is launching a new campaign next week to tackle this deadly menace.
Tonight's 999 special talks to people whose lives have been affected by speeding drivers. The family of six-year-old Tracey Kennedy have donated a home video of their dead daughter to the campaign, and tonight they tell the story behind her death and their subsequent trauma. And self-confessed speed addict Steve Binns talks about the dangerous thrill of fast driving - a thrill for which he's paid a terrible price.
