Constable Benton Fraser trusts Willie. If the 12-year-old purse snatcher says he is not involved in the million-dollar bearer bond robbery, he'll take his word for it - even if the gun the boy was carrying has been traced back to the scene of the crime. Fraser trusts Willie not to run off too, which is just as well since Ray Vecchio's badge is riding on it.

Berlin 1989: for some, the Cold War is over, but life-long army man Johnny Gallagher finds action when he is assigned to escort a disgraced soldier, a "package", back to America.
However, the man is not who he is supposed to be, and Gallagher arrives in Washington DC to discover he has been used as part of some mysterious manoeuvre. Meanwhile, in Chicago, a deadly plot is nearing its climax.
