X-Men 4.05pm BBC 1
Everybody's favourite mutants the X-Men leave their early-morning slot in Live and Kicking to take pride of place in CBBC's Friday afternoon line-up.
X-Men were originally created in the 60s by Marvel Comics mainman Stan Lee, father of Spiderman, the Incredible Hulk and Captain America. Their struggle to be accepted as crime fighters in a world that regards them as freaks has fascinated readers and viewers ever since.
Wolverine, Gambit, Rogue and Storm exercise their unique special powers (Storm can control the weather, which could come in very handy during a British summer) against the evil forces of Magneto for the next nine weeks.

Dale Winton (of ITV's Supermarket Sweep) moves to an evening slot to host the new topical show presenting the UK at its quirkiest. Travelling the country are co-presenters Daley Thompson and Liza Tarbuck who are hot on the trail of the nation's weird and wonderful.
