Parliament's Tribute - Westminster Hall 11.05am BBC
Her Majesty the Queen's arrival in Westminster Hall this morning for the Loyal Address from both Houses of Parliament marks the start of BBCtv's live coverage of the VE Day celebrations. The Loyal Address (given today by the Lord Chancellor and Madam Speaker) is made only on rare occasions of national significance, the last time being in 1988, on the 300th anniversary of the modern parliament.
John Tusa, who presents all the live VE Day coverage for the BBC, makes his first broadcast from a special outside studio in Hyde Park.
