Once upon a Time....
Some of Britain's best-loved television stars take to the stage of the Dominion Theatre in London to raise funds for the NSPCC.

This year's show is an adventure. A boy sets out on an unusual quest - to find a name for himself, and to find a story to entertain the wizard who created him in an idle moment.
The wizard is played by former Doctor Who Sylvester McCoy, and the tale is narrated by Matthew Kelly.
Along the way, the boy encounters characters brought to life by the likes of Right Said Fred, Barbara Windsor, Bernard Cribbins, Lisa Maxwell, Frank Bruno, Pauline Quirke and Linda Robson, Billy Pearce, Brian Conley, Rosemarie Ford, the London City Ballet, and the Royal Ballet's Stephen Jefferies. There are children's favourites such as Take That!, Michaela Strachan, Andi Peters, the Chuckle Brothers and Edd the Duck, plus a host of dancers, magicians, acrobats and singers.

Given in the presence of HRH Princess Margaret, who is president of the NSPCC. (Stereo) (Teletext subtitles: page 888)
