Darren, 14 years old, has slept in Leicester Square for four months. Kathy and TJ, two young teenage girls, barefoot and unwashed, survive by begging. Ferret has lived on the streets for over ten years, surviving by prostitution. The new income support laws mean young teenagers like these cannot draw any state benefit. For six months the cameras follow them struggling to find work and a place to sleep in the heart of London, where they are in daily contact with drugs, disease, 'thieving' and violence. Some kids survive against all the odds - some don't.
