The Scallop Alternative
Scallops-a succulent sea-food for those who know - reach the market place as mature two-year-olds after a life-time spent defying all manner of natural hazards and predators. From birth only one out of about 10,000 survive. The underwater camera team, Jeff Goodman and Laurie Emberson show what an abundant food supply could be available, in a rare sea-bed experiment which rears scallops in protected captivity.
