Omnibus presents a film about an eccentric trip across Europe in a vintage motor car.

In 1906 French painter Bonnard illustrated a romantic, comical journal written by his friend Mirbeau. It's the story of one of the earliest motor car trips through France, Belgium, Holland and Germany, and 'across a little bit of myself'. In this film we imagine Bonnard on the journey recording his impressions on the way. 628-E8 was published only in a limited edition and many of the Bonnard drawings have never been seen in public. They celebrate the wonders of the first automobiles, the bizarre, sometimes farcical anecdotes from the notebooks, and the charms of delightful women caught inevitably in compromising situations.
