Last summer Southampton University awarded an honorary degree to a one-time city policeman-John Arlott , OBE. Now he's a distinguished writer, poet, broadcaster, bon viveur and outspoken champion of his native Hampshire. In tonight's film he recalls some of the people, places and ideas that have influenced his life.
