Presented by Anne Nightingale

This is the centenary year of the Loweswater Show, a small agricultural show which has changed very little since it began in 1872. It reflects the way of life of the people in this remote corner of Cumberland, and it is the one day of the year that they all meet and enjoy the traditional lakeland sports.
Anne Nightingale visits the show and discovers the connection between smuggling and Cumberland rum butter.
