Bob Hope and Jane Russell were a notably successful and very funny combination in Paleface, In its sequel Bob, as Junior, arrives back in his home town out West to collect his father's inheritance-a pile of debts. Son of Paleface has, besides its entertaining action, several songs that made a big hit and have remained popular. Among these are 'In the cool, cool, cool of the evening' and the Roy Rogers number 'A four-legged friend', a great favourite with children.The director, Frank Tashlin, is one of the most successful Hollywood directors of comedy films.
