Do we disbelieve because experience has taught us to do so, or because we know a priori that the belief in question is absurd? Both-we know both kinds of scepticism. When we say that a belief is absurd we do not necessarily mean that it is illogical. We might mean that it would imply a ' very weird kind of world.' In other words we have a ' world-view.' Or haven'we?
