There is growing concern over the use of tape recordings in the courts. How far are they admissible as evidence in criminal proceedings? Clearly there are great dangers in using them at all; so to what extent should they be used? Mr. Hall Williams considers these questions and compares the practice here with that in the United States.

In the early 1950s there were the first signs for many years of a new movement in the work of younger English poets which for some reason became known as ' The Movement.' Mr. Bergonzi considers the impact and influence of this movement in relation to that other, very different, phenomenon, ' Modern poetry.'
