An illustrated talk by Thomas Goff
This talk is an introduction to a series of recitals, previously broadcast early this year under the above title, in which keyboard music from the Elizabethans to Chopin is played on instruments contemporary with the composers, or on modern copies of such instruments. In this introductory programme Thomas Goff talks about virginals, harpsichords, and clavichords. The illustrations are played by George Malcolm.
