The post-war history of Eastern Europe has been dealt with from different points of view in two recently published books -Doreen Warriner 's Revolution in Eastern Europe and Hugh Seton-Watson 's The East European Revolution. Bickham Sweet-Escott , who worked in East European countries for many years before the war and in Special Operations for the Balkans during the war, assesses these two accounts of the change that has taken place there.
