Talk by E. A. Schelpe
Last summer E. A. Schelpe led an expedition of undergraduates from Oxford University to survey a part of Mount Kenya that had never been mapped and to study its flora and fauna. Among a number of specimens they brought back was a horned chameleon, which is not known to exist anywhere else in the world.

2-Julius Caesar
Talk by Michael Holroyd
The many sides of Caesar's genius profoundly influenced the course of Western Europe. There can be no one portrait of such a man: the speaker shows him as he appeared to his contemporaries-aristocrat, radical, general, historian, reformer, and dictator-and places him ' against the great perspective of the centuries.'
