The Bristol Light Ensemble, composed of a string quintet and pianoforte, made its debut on April 21. It specialises in light classical music.
The players are Joan Allen , Fred Parrington , and Hilda Lyon (violins); Olive Woodington (cello) ; George Harwell (double bass) ; and Winifred Davey (pianoforte).
