The Monmouthshire Rural Community Council concerning itself with the social problems of rural life has called in the aid of the National Council of Music in order to hold musical festivals. This is the seventh Annual Festival, and the Festival Choir consists of nearly 500 school-children drawn from Chepstow, Magor, Caldicot, Portskewett, Sudbrook, Roggiett, Caerwent, Tintem, Mathern, and Llandevaud.
