Arthur E. Temple studied the organ at the Royal Academy of Music, where he was a professor of the pianoforte from 1920-23. He then became organist and choirmaster successively at the church of St. James-the-Less, Westminster (when seventeen years of age), the Parish Church, Cheshunt, Herts, and the Parish Church, Hornsey. Since 1932 he has been director of music at Taunton School.
