Marion MacGregor, who is a daughter of Alexander MacGregor, is well known in Glasgow Amateur Opera circles for her performances in Gilbert and Sullivan Operas. Mr. MacGregor claims to be the first singer to broadcast in Glasgow, also the first singer to broadcast Scottish songs from Marconi House, London, the latter event having taken place on January 26, 1923, when with Phyllis Lett and Flora Woodman he took part in the Scottish Clans Association Concert and was requested to go with these artists to Marconi House and broadcast the same songs as had been sung during the evening.
