Sir David Hunter Blair , fifth Baronet of Dunskey, and titular Abbot of Dunfermline, was born in 1853. His grandfather, who saw Prince Charles Edward in Rome, was King's Printer for Scotland. His great-grandfather, Sir James Hunter. Blair, the first Baronet, was a banker, a Member of Parliament, and Lord Provost of Edinburgh. He is the subject of an article and a caricature in Key's ' Edinburgh Portraits '. Burns wrote an elegy on him after his death.
