It has been asked from time to time, when was the art of hand knitting first practised? To delve into its history is at once intriguing and fascinating, for it is undoubtedly an ancient art. The manufacture of yarn for knitting purposes has undergone many changes until today it is an industry of great importance to the women of the country. They demand for hand work the finest and most beautiful of yarn to knit into those chic garments which are satisfying to the eye, warm and comfortable in wear.
