Michael Mullinar studied composition under Dr. Vaughan Williams , Gustav Holst , and R. 0. Morris. He has written songs for solo voice, part songs, pieces for string orchestra, pianoforte solos and a suite for military band. The last-named work was performed by the Birmingham City Police Band in 1925, under' the guest-conductorship of Dr. Adrian Boult , at their annual Town Hall concert. The song ' Cotswold Love '—words by John Drinkwater— was dedicated to the late Robert Radford , who sang several of Michael Mullinar songs at thoir first performance. Mr. Mullinar has given many pianoforte recitals from the Birmingham Studio.
