At Derby is situated one of the world's greatest ear and aero-engine works, and it will he interesting to note the amazing difference between the noise made in testing the two kinds of engine, the former being remarkable for its silence and the latter being a really good test for the endurance power of the microphones. A general talk will be given by Mr. A. F. SIDGREAVES with incidental noises during various building processes from a works at Derby.
