Efficiency today demands high pressures and temperatures in electric power stations and on board ships, and the piping in which the steam is carried has become a serious engineering problem. Concentration and energy on the design and manufacture of this class of piping have developed enormously during the last few years. A general talk on the use and manufacture of these pipes will be given by Mr. J.A. Aiton, C.B.E., J.P., with incidental noises during various processes from a works at Derby.
