A commentary including the 'Kingswear' Challenge Cup and the 'United Universities' Coronation Cup

The Kingswear Challenge Cup is for senior crews in four-oared boats not exceeding thirty-six feet in length, under the rules of the West of England Amateur Rowing Association, and is open to all amateur rowing clubs. The course, from the Higher Noss Mile Post to the Royal Dart Yacht Club, is approximately one and a half miles in length. The United Universities Coronation Cup was presented by the United Universities Women's Boat Club; starting at Coronation Park, the race is rowed in boats of a similar type to those entered for the Kingswear Challenge Cup, but the competition is under the rules of the Women's Amateur Rowing Association.
