There is a good deal of talk nowadays of settling refugees in British Guiana, on the uplands where there is some prospect of their making good in agriculture. British people do not often penetrate into British Guiana's hinterland, but Gwen Richardson , who has been gold prospecting there with her husband, has a lot to say about life in the jungle, which turns out to be unexpectedly healthy and full of interest and excitement.
Gwen Richardson is the author of 'On the Diamond Trail in British Guiana'.
