A Pianoforte Recital by Edward Isaacs
This concert will be the 900th Tuesday Midday Concert and the last one of rhe twenty-fourth season.' They were begun in 1915 by the Northern Branch of the Committee for Music in War-time. After the war they were taken over by the Tuesday Midday Concerts Society, which was formed expressly to continue the concerts, the musical public of the district having made strong representations that they did not wish to lose them.
Edward Isaacs , who was connected with the Committee for Music in War-time in another capacity from 1915 to 1919 and who, incidentally, himself, gave fifty midday piano recitals during this period at his own Friday Midday Concerts, took over the musical direction of the Tuesday Midday Concerts at the Committee's request early in 1923.
