This combination was formed in October, 1934, especially for broadcasting. Arthur Ney. who started it, used to wander about the world playing his guitar, using the name of ' Karl Caylus '. His first combination consisted of violin, accordion, two guitars, and drums, but this has now been changed to violin, cello, guitar, piano, accordion, and drums.
The Players specialise in unusual arrangements. These are mostly made by Alexander Freedman , the violinist.
