2-' Nursing '
A Nurse in Training at a London General Hospital and Mrs. Oliver Strachey
With Mrs. Oliver Strachey in the studio this afternoon will be a nurse from a London general hospital. For the first eight minutes she will give the inside story of her job.
Mrs. Strachey, who is secretary of the Women's Employment Federation, will then take over the microphone, and discuss the nursing career from the angle of those who are considering it. She will outline the qualifications required, the openings available, and the prospects ahead.
Mrs. Strachey has given a lifetime of service to the emancipation of women, has edited progressive women's papers, and written a great number of works on the women's movement and its pioneers. Since 1927 she has been broadcasting on political matters, books, current events, and other subjects.
