A MOTION in Parliament is to be promoted by Ernest Brown , M.P.,
Minister of Mines, to give a preference for home-produced light oil. The bill not only provides for a preference in respect of light hydrocarbon oils manufactured in the United Kingdom from coal, shale, or peat indigenous to the United Kingdom or from products produced from these substances ; but provides for the collection of information as to the production of such oil.
This evening's broadcast discussion will deal with some of the issues that this motion is likely to raise.
