IF THIS PLAY broadcasts as well as it reads, it may make history tonight by proving to be an ideal dramatic medium for the microphone. Suspense, continuity, clarity, it has all these; and the craftsmanship of conveying both the passing of time and the events that have happened by means of interlocutors, or chroniclers, is entirely satisfactory. Badly handled, the play might easily fail in its realism even though every line is authentic, but its art is such that it pulses with actuality.
