Free deep-sea divers may suffer at varying depths from a sort of intoxication. This is the rapture of the deep, or to give it its scientific name, nitrogen narcosis. Dr. Kendrick talks about the cause of the narcosis, and suggests a connection between the effect and the personality of the diver.
