Legends cluster thickly round many of the old wells of Britain, where the student of folk-lore can find almost inexhaustible material. Surgeon Captain O.W. Andrews is an authority on folk-lore on which he has given many lectures. He has also collected much interesting maienal during his cruises in the South Sea Islands; he is the author of 'Seamarks and Landmarks', and he has contributed numerous articles to medical and other journals.
