R. Williams Parry is on the staff of the University College, Bangor - a lecturer in Welsh literature. He is one of the most brilliant of the modern Welsh poets and won the Bardie Chair at Colwyn Bay in 1910 with an 'Ode to Summer,' which is considered by many critics to be the finest example of alliterative Welsh verse. This was published a few years ago in a volume called 'Yr Haf a cherddi Eraill' (The Summer and other Poems).
