In spite of evidence to the contrary, we still like to think of summer in terms of hot days and warm, lazy evenings-on the river, by the sea, under the trees, light laughter, and the rest of the delightful vision. Summer evenings do not somehow seem suited to the strong emotions and searching problems of the more serious drama. In this new series, 'Summer Laughter,' while we cannot guarantee the physical elements under which you listen, our aim is to stimulate with light dramatic fare the always welcome element of laughter.
