Even as a boy in a coal mine, it was David Thomas' ambition to be a singer. His connection with Llandaff Cathedral Choir signifies that that has been realized. He graduated, like so many Welsh artists, at that University of Song-the old-time Cyrddau Llenyddol, and progressed in stages until he reached the National Eisteddfod.
