An Appeal on behalf of The Cardiff Royal Infirmary the Rt. Hon. The Lord Mayor of Cardiff

The Cardiff Royal Infirmary, with its 490 beds, is the largest general hospital in Wales. It is associated with the Welsh National School of Medicine, and is the centre for Wales under the National Radium Commission Scheme for Cancer Research. Over 6,000 in-patients and over 40,000 out-patients are treated annually at a total cost of £75,000. Towards this sum, approximately £16,500 can he relied upon as income from investments and voluntary gifts by patients, the balance of £58,500 has to be raised annually by other means.
