Mrs. Dale has been to see Miss Roberts and has tried to persuade her to get up. She has also had a talk with Mrs. Bryce-Jones who wants Mrs. Dale to help her in her philanthropic work. Dr. Dale advises caution. Lily Skinner has gone to hospital and has had a baby girl. The Cadwallanders called at the hospital but were not allowed to see the child. Tom Draycott called to take Sheila Elliot out to dinner and almost came to blows with Flip Frimley who was outrageously rude to Sheila.

Following the killing of Sam Buxton by Miss Richmond, the spy ring involved in the disappearance of scientist Sally Buxton is beginning to panic. ' Danger ' has reason to believe that a list of its members is hidden somewhere in Banwell Spender's dressing room at the ' 75 ' Club. Leaving Brett Norton on guard she goes in to make a search. Brett, however, is knocked unconscious by Spender and Laura Gross, who proceed to investigate ' Danger's ' activities.
