Tom Draycott and Sheila Elliot have met and had dinner together. He realises that she is bored and unhappy and very bitter towards Bill Elliot. David Owen has had dinner with two advertising men and has been ' casually' introduced to a Mr. Graham Austin.
David suspects that there is more to this encounter than meets the eye. Bob needs money for a new car in order to accept the Draycott contract, and Dr. Dale has increased his overdraft so that he can help Bob financially.

A serial in eight episodes by Edward J. Mason
Sam Buxton is deeply involved in the espionage organisation which has caused the disappearance of his niece, scientist Sally Buxton. Acting on instructions from the Brigadier, Miss Dangerfield and Brett Norton visit Sam Buxton and tell him the game is up.
