Sally decided she was needed at ' Stephanie ' after all, and would be letting down her business associates if she went to America with Richard. As a result of her decision, Richard tried to cancel his tour but was unable to do so. Mr. Belkins caused excitement at the ' Shamrock ' by winning £ i,ooo in a Premium Bond draw. Grandfather Dale arrived unexpectedly from Scotland in order to see Alec. He hoped to persuade him to let Carlton live permanently with him as he wished to leave him the farm.
